Potential NBA restart at Walt Disney World has ‘gained momentum’

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday that the NBA could potentially return at Walt Disney World in Florida.

With the start of a new month, the focus on the NBA and their potential hopes to restart will be even tighter as the league is expected to come to some form of a definitive plan between now and the end of the month. And while the league will have to wait until testing is available on a widespread level for the general public before returning, there is a proposal that is reportedly gaining momentum within the league about a potential location for a return.

Orlando’s Walt Disney World, due to its proliferation of hotels and a large basketball facility on its campus, is picking up steam in the league as a location, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Yahoo’s Keith Smith proposed the idea a few weeks back and that appears to be gaining legs.

However, as ESPN reports, the issue remains that the NBA does not want to put itself in a position of acquiring testing kits at a large scale while the virus is still spreading in parts of North America. Until that happens, the NBA’s grand plans of a potential sprint to the championship will remain vague.
