Chris Bosh made rookie Josh Richardson carry his guitar case on the road

While a rookie with the Miami Heat, Josh Richardson had to carry around Chris Bosh’s guitar case on the road.

Rookies in the NBA have to go through an initiation period in their first year in the league no matter who they are. For Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson, he was a second-round pick for a Miami Heat team laced with veterans such as Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Luol Deng. So, he had to fulfill his rookie duties.

While participating in Bleacher Report’s FIFA tournament, Richardson told a story about how Bosh would have him carry his guitar case on the road even when it was empty. Bosh then caught wind of it and contested that there was always a guitar in the case.

Richardson then saw Bosh’s response and he called him out on it. He was the one carrying around the guitar case after all.

Maybe his guitar case experience in Miami influenced him to have a love for guitars that he has right now. Either way, he had to fulfill his rookie duties somehow and he did that to the best of his ability while also being a key part of a Heat playoff run in 2016. [lawrence-related id=30256,30250,30225]
