The Green Bay Packers used the 242nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft on Miami edge rusher Jonathan Garvin.
Garvin (6-4, 263) produced 26 tackles for losses and 10.5 sacks over the last two seasons.
Garvin was the 16th best edge rusher in the draft class, according to Dane Brugler of The Athletic.
From Brugler’s draft guide: “Overall, Garvin looks like a formidable pass rusher on one snap and then uninterested the next, flashing disruptive potential if he buys into NFL coaching, but requires time to develop pro-ready consistency.”
Garvin will compete with Tim Williams, Randy Ramsey and Greg Roberts to be the fourth edge rusher behind Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith and Rashan Gary.
