When NFL teams dug into the background on new #Redskins LT Saahdiq Charles, one key person in his corner was LSU coach Ed Orgeron. Ron Rivera called Orgeron this week and obviously liked what he heard. Charles now with a chance to replace Trent Williams in Washington.

The Washington Redskins may have gotten a great talent in LSU OT Saahdiq Charles, drafting him in the fourth round on Saturday, but he doesn’t come without some baggage as well.
Charles was a solid player at LSU, but he dealt with some off-field issues and discipline problems that at one point saw him serve a multi-game suspension with the Tigers. While the Redskins knew the talent was there, concerns about his attitude still lingered.
That is until Redskins coach Ron Rivera got a chance to talk to Ed Orgeron, Charles’ coach at LSU. Coach O obviously convinced Rivera that the LT could be molded into a great player, and with the right leadership, he will fit into the Redskins system.
I trust Rivera to make this pick work and whip Charles into shape if need be.
