Tennessee Titans Day 2 mock draft: Round 2 and 3 projections

Here’s a quick two-round mock draft for the Titans ahead of Day 2.

With Day 1 in the books, the Tennessee Titans are looking ahead to Day 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft, and more specifically, the second and third round.

So, which direction should the Titans go with their next two picks?

Find out in this quick two-round Titans mock draft for Day 2.

Round 2

Pick No. 61: Cameron Dantzler | CB | Mississippi

I’d prefer Utah’s Jaylon Johnson, Alabama’s Trevon Diggs and LSU’s Kristian Fulton over Dantzler here, but all three will be gone before the Titans pick in the second round.

While he doesn’t necessarily have the versatility to play in the slot, he has great length, can play multiple coverages and has flashed the skills to be a lockdown corner on the outside in the NFL. He was easily one of the best at his position in the SEC over the past two years.

Dantzler would provide fantastic depth in the secondary in 2020, and he could transition to a full-time starter in 2021 if the team decides to save some money by cutting Malcolm Butler.

Round 3

DaVon Hamilton | DT | Ohio State

This might be a slight reach on the Titans’ part, but it’s a worthy risk.

Hamilton, who has great size for a defensive lineman at 6-foot-3 and 327 pounds, can stuff the run and has proven to be an impact interior pass-rusher after totaling six sacks in 2019.

The Ohio State product could eventually be an upgrade over DaQuan Jones because of his ability to get to the quarterback
