The best thing ahead of the 2020 NFL draft has been seeing how NFL coaches and general managers are setting up their war rooms inside their respective houses.
I’ve already ranted about the presence of all the screens (or lack thereof) that we’ve seen, and San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan joined the party with a tour of his home and monitor-filled setup.
It’s a fun video, but there’s something on one of those screens that has some Niners die-hards and other NFL fans buzzing: who was he watching on film when he shot the video?
It turned everyone into amateur Sherlocks:
Coach's crib, #49ersDraft style!

Kyle Shanahan showing off his home office set up the day before the draft… accidentally leaves Kentucky QB footage up… Lynn Bowden to San Fran?🤔 pic.twitter.com/5QHXehsg89

Okay, conspiracy theorists. This was on Kyle Shanahan's screen today. Jeudy, Ruggs, Wills… all players the #49ers could take at 13. John Lynch watching Mekhi Becton at home earlier this month. Can we cross them all off the list for SF? https://t.co/Ns2JYy3rhF

It goes without saying that it’s ridiculous to speculate about the pick the Niners might make based on that clip. There’s also the possibility Shanahan left it on deliberately to throw some smoke around, as we know NFL teams do this time of year.
All of that said, it’s fun to do, and we all need some fun right now.
