The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to trade a fourth-round draft pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for tight end Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round pick, according to multiple reports (via Bucs Wire).
Gronk will be reunited with quarterback Tom Brady and his Bucs are scheduled to face the Denver Broncos this season. We don’t know the Broncos’ finalized schedule yet but we do know the team’s 2020 opponents — they will play the Buccaneers at home.
So in addition to facing cornerback Chris Harris (twice with the Los Angeles Chargers) and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (New Orleans Saints), Denver will also face a pair of old rivals in Brady and Gronk this fall (assuming there will be a season).
In six regular season games against the Broncos, Gronkowski has caught 34 passes for 445 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 13.09 yards per catch. New England went 5-1 against Denver in games Gronkowski played.
