To trade up, to trade back or to stay in the same place — those are the decisions the Vikings front office can make when it comes to the NFL Draft.
Bleacher Report thinks that Minnesota should be aggressive in the NFL Draft trade market. The outlet listed the Vikings giving up its 22nd pick and 89th pick for the Cowboys’ No. 17 pick in the draft as a trade that makes sense for Minnesota.
Here’s what else it said:
“The point of this transaction with the Dallas Cowboys is to get into the higher echelon of this year’s deep class of receivers. Five picks might not seem like a lot, but it could mean the difference between Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy and Arizona State’s Brandon Aiyuk.
The latter’s good…but the former’s better.”
Minnesota does need a receiver, but I don’t know if it’s the best decision to trade up for one in what is a deep wide receiver draft class. You never know what’s going to happen on the actual day of the draft, though.
