No matter what may be happening in the world, in sports, on the court or off of it, there are certain things that we can always count on. The contestants that keep us grounded in a routine amidst a world without it. One of those moments came late on Thursday night as the seemingly innocuous NBA H-O-R-S-E contest, featuring NBA legends past and present, aired on ESPN. However, the comments that made it note-worthy did not come from ESPN.
Instead, the world’s most highly-paid and well-known LeBron James hater Skip Bayless took to Twitter on Thursday night that the H-O-R-S-E competition is yet another example of LeBron backing down from individual competition.
Wonder why LeBron didn't participate in yet another stand-alone contest – the HORSE tournament. No Dunk Contest. No 3-Point Contest. No televised HORSE.

You really have to try to make the case that LeBron James is not a competitor but that’s why we are who we are and Skip Bayless is Skip Bayless. While Bayless found the opportunity to clown, LeBron and the Lakers may have an opportunity to add another title to his resumé if the NBA is ever able to finish up the season and crown a 2020 NBA Champion.
