The Detroit Lions got a jump on other NFL teams by coaching the North squad at the Senior Bowl. With one of their recent pre-draft virtual visits, the Lions got reacquainted with one of the players they spent a lot of time with down in Mobile in January.
North Carolina State defensive tackle Larrell Murchison confirmed he has had a FaceTime visit with the Lions, one of several teams he cited as meeting with via teleconferencing app.
Murchison had some real positive moments in those Senior Bowl practices. The 6-2, 297-pounder is a high-energy player who wins with quick leverage, smart technique and relentless aggression. Murchison is athletically limited and short-armed, which likely relegates him to the 4th or 5th round.
NC State DT Larrell Murchison confirms he has met over FaceTime with the #Jets, #Patriots, #Jaguars, #Raiders, #Lions & #Titans.
Murchison is coming off a 2019 season that saw him record 12 TFL & 7 sacks.
