Marcus Burk: “First off, I would like to thank the Lord for allowing me to play the game I love every single day and for the opportunities He has provided and continues to provide for me. Without Him this wouldn’t be possible. Since I was young, I’ve had a dream of playing professional basketball. After discussing with my parents and coaches, I have decided to declare for the 2020 NBA draft while maintaining my eligibility. I want to thank my teammates and coaches for pushing me to become better, not only on the court but as a person. I also want to thank IUPUl, the City of Indianapolis, and everyone who has supported me on my journey. Lastly, I want to thank my parents for their unwavering support and encouragement. Thank you for always believing in me, showing me how to be strong and confident in the face of adversity, and for teaching me that hard work always pays off. I am excited to continue on my journey and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.
