There are a number of NFL teams that have tried to take advantage of the downtime this offseason by releasing new uniforms to be worn in the coming years. Among them are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Los Angeles Rams.
While several squads will be sporting new looks in 2020, there has been no word on whether or not the Washington Redskins will change things up this summer, though fans seem to be calling for it. In light of the jersey updates, USA TODAY’s Touchdown Wire ranked all 32 teams in the NFL based on their looks. So where does Washington end up on that list?
The answer isn’t very pretty. According to the rankings, the Redskins come in at No. 32, dead last in the league.
“The colors are cool,” Barry Werner said in the post. “However, the nickname and what it stands for diminishes what could be a classic look.”
By this logic, it would have to take a pretty spectacular jersey kit to overcome what some think is a controversial team name, and even that might not do the trick. Regardless, though, adding an alternative jersey to the mix wouldn’t hurt improve the team’s looks as a whole. What say you, Snyder?
