ESPN gives Tua Tagovailoa highest chance to become Pro Bowl QB

ESPN believes Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa has the best chance to emerge as a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback from the 2020 draft class.

As the 2020 NFL Draft gets closer and closer everyone simultaneously becomes an NFL scout and a fortune teller all at once when trying to decide which player should be drafted by their favorite team.

ESPN’s analytics team decided to crunch some numbers and predict the future by presenting the likelihood of each of the top four quarterbacks in the 2020 draft class to become a pro bowler in the NFL.

The four players listed are LSU’s Joe Burrow, Utah State’s Jordan Love, Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa.

Though it is predicted Burrow will be the first quarterback out of the group to be drafted, as well as the first overall selection, Tagovailoa takes the top spot on this list with 23 percent, as the remaining three are tied at 15 percent.

The other percentage listed is the quarterbacks’ likelihood to be a consistent starter in the NFL, to which Tagovailoa also holds the No. 1 spot with 66 percent while Burrow, Love and Herbert hover just above 50 percent.

Is this information to be heavily weighted in draft rooms come April 23? Likely not. However, it is interesting to see that based on some unknown numbers put together by ESPN, Tagovailoa is favorited to be the highest-quality NFL quarterback.

The order in which these quarterbacks will be drafted is still a commonly debated topic by fans, and this post from ESPN will most certainly be thrown into the middle of those arguments.

We can only wait and see who lands where on draft night. Until then, Roll Tide Wire will keep you updated on all things Alabama and the 2020 NFL Draft!
