The NBA confirmed earlier this week that they would be taking on a H-O-R-S-E tournament featuring several NBA and WNBA players both current and former, including Chris Paul, Trae Young, Tamika Catchings, and Chauncey Billups. One name we don’t see, even though he has a hoop he can play on is LeBron James. But LeBron may have retired from HORSE a while ago after falling to a trick shot master on Venice Beach back in September of 2008.
Trick-shot artist David Kalb won the opportunity to take on LeBron in a game of HORSE in Los Angeles, which was captured at the time by the Los Angeles Times.
Although LeBron is a much better shooter now than he was back in 2008, even when he was leading the NBA in scoring, LeBron has moved away from ways to show off his skills that don’t involve actually playing the game. Whether it’s a dunk contest or HORSE, it appears those days are behind him.
