The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons have unveiled their latest uniforms, which begs the question on the mind of every Houston sports fan: when will the Texans upgrade their look?
The Texans already have some of the nicer looking uniform combinations in the NFL. However, they should make these four changes for the 2020 season.
1. Make the color rush jerseys permanent home jerseys
Since 2017, the Texans have busted out their color rush jerseys for prime time games or when they play the Cleveland Browns. The Texans are 5-0 in these jerseys.
Instead of wearing them for special occasions, Houston should make these the permanent home jerseys at NRG Stadium. The look still holds true to the color scheme of red, blue, and a little bit of white, but also gives a more upgraded look. They are also very emblematic of the Deshaun Watson era as he is the only Texans starting quarterback to wear these jerseys, and his first start of his career came in them in Week 2 of 2017.
