Looking at the numbers, BYU is clearly the better team. That’s not to say Utah is a slouch, but the Cougars defense is barely worse than Utah’s defense and Utah is a defensive team.
BYU’s offense is leaps and bounds better than Utah’s. BYU can’t match Utah’s size in 7’2” center Luke Nevill though. Utah also has much more experience on their team. Will BYU’s run and gun offense carry them to a victory, or will Utah’s size and defense fluster the cougars?
Keys for Utah: Pound the ball inside to finish at the rim and draw fouls; bother Jimmer Fredette. He uses a third of the team’s possessions so they go as he goes.
Keys for BYU: Run Utah’s big men off the court, once they’re gone, defend the rim, Utah is an average outside shooting team.

Game 6- Jon M. Huntsman Center, Utah leads series 3-2
Utah frustrates Jimmer Fredette and comes away with the W. #14 Utah upsets #3 BYU and moves on to the second round.
