The Philadelphia Eagles have joined the fight against the COVID-19 virus, as team owner Jeffery Lurie just announced a $1 million donation to Penn Medicine.
Eagles owner Jeff Lurie is donating $1 million to establish the Covid-19 Immunology Defense Fund to support a program through Penn Medicine to test healthcare workers on the front lines for potential immunity.

The money will go toward a research program to test endangered health care workers for potential immunity to COVID-19 as well as research toward treatment and an eventual vaccine, according to a press release from Penn Medicine.
