The Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden beef is well-documented, and has a new, very weird chapter to add to it.
A reminder: the Greek Freak ripped the Houston Rockets guard while picking All-Star teams in February — he picked Kemba Walker because he “wanted somebody that’s going to pass the ball.” Antetokounmpo later said his team was “trying to find whoever James Harden was guarding.”
Harden fired back in an interview with Rachel Nichols and escalated this thing, saying, “I wish I could just run, with 7 feet, run and just dunk. Like that takes no skill at all.” The Freak didn’t take it any further: “At the end of the day, if that’s what he believes, that’s what he believes.”
That brings us to something Antetokounmpo said on a recent livestream: he thinks Harden is … the hardest player to guard.
Now, look: he has the BIGGEST smile on his face after saying that. Maybe he’s trolling. Or maybe he’s squashing the beef at time we all could use some kindness in the world. I seriously can’t tell:
Who is the hardest player to guard in the NBA right now?
