Bleacher Report says Vikings ‘need a cornerback desperately’

Do you want the Vikings to sign a cornerback in free agency?

The Vikings don’t have enough cap space to go out and land a few big-name free agents, but the team still has room for a decent signing.

Spotrac reported that the Vikings have a little over $11 million in space for 2020. That’s probably enough to go out and land a serviceable corner.

At least, that’s what Bleacher Report thinks the team should do. The outlet recently mentioned corner as the Vikings’ biggest free agency need.

Here’s what it had to say about the choice:

“The Minnesota Vikings did it to themselves. They need a cornerback desperately, but only because they parted with most of their key corners from the 2019 season. Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander were both allowed to leave in free agency, while Xavier Rhodes was released. Given Minnesota’s cap situation, this may have been the best course of action.”

Bleacher Report went on to say that the “Vikings have enough available cash to make a run at a depth corner in free agency.”
