Sometimes, home is not where the heart is.

Such is the case for 2021 Michigan offensive line target Caleb Tiernan, who was a frequent visitor in Ann Arbor over the course of his recruitment. Whether it be for football games or basketball games, his presence on the trail was something of a constant.

But, on Saturday, the Livonia (MI) Detroit Country Day three-star offensive tackle shared his decision to stay in the Big Ten, but head out of state, having pledged to join the Northwestern Wildcats under head coach Pat Fitzgerald.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Tiernan is a three-star rated at No. 370 nationally.

As far as offensive tackle prospects are concerned, Michigan is still in the hunt for four-stars David Davidkov and Garrett Dellinger, among others.
