Watch: Mekhi Becton uses a truck as a blocking sled

Anyone whose been around football knows about the blocking sled. Generations of young football players have pushed the distinct apparatus across muddy fields, often with a coach on the other side barking encouragement…or insults if you had an 8th-grade coach like I did.

Pushing a blocking sled is a rite of passage. Louisville left tackle and potential Cleveland Browns draft target Mekhi Becton took it to a new level.

Becton is one of the top-tier offensive tackles in the 2020 NFL Draft and a player often projected to the Cleveland Browns at the No. 10 overall pick. And a sled wasn’t nearly enough mass for the 364-pound Becton to push around.

Instead, he substituted a pickup truck. Using drive blocking form, Becton gets the truck moving almost too fast for him to keep up.
