With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting various parts of the world and the United States, the NFL and its players have been doing their part to help their communities. Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan joined those efforts by donating $1 million to local organizations in the North East Florida area who are aiding the community with the pandemic battle and that has seemingly rubbed off on his team.
Cornerback Tre Herndon and his girlfriend, Treyleanna Robinson, have also joined the battle to fight COVID-19 and have pledged a donation to the Feeding Northeast Florida organization. The donation from both will provide 10,000 meals for those in the local area affected by COVID-19.

Herndon will be entering his third season after signing with the Jags as an unrestricted free agent in 2017. As an undrafted rookie, his deal was a three-year deal worth $1.7 million that averages just under 572K annually, making his contribution and Robinson’s even more admirable

In addition to Herndon and Khan’s efforts, the Jags’ stadium, TIAA Bank Field, has been used as a drive-thru test site for citizens of Jacksonville to get tested for COVID-19.
It’s thoughts of kindness from people like Khan and Herndon that will help the Florida area and country eventually prevail in the battle against the coronavirus. As of Friday, there were 3,198 cases reported within the state and over reported 100,000 in the nation.
