On September 3, prior to the start of the 2019-20 NBA season, Brooklyn Nets forward Rodions Kurucs was arrested at his apartment in Brooklyn for allegedly choking his girlfriend. It was reported the incident happened on June 27.
Kurucs has made multiple appearances in court for the misdemeanor assault case.
But now the Nets forward’s case is being on hold amidst the novel coronavirus outbreak in the U.S. Brian Lewis of the New York Post is reporting the case was administratively adjourned. A new date “will eventually be set.”
Kurucs appeared in 39 games for the Nets this season and 10 with Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
As a rookie in 2018-19, Kurucs only played in 4 games for Long Island while appearing in 64 contests for Brooklyn, of which he was featured in the starting lineup 46 times.
