Quarantine Celtics at two weeks: podcasts, gratitude and couch fashion

The Boston Celtics have made it to two weeks in self-quarantine, communicating with the outside world via social media.

It’s been two full weeks since the NBA shut itself down following Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert’s positive diagnosis for the novel coronavirus turning everyone’s lives upside down.

And the Boston Celtics have since been at the forefront of trying to stop the spread of the viral pandemic through public service announcements, outreach, and just helping us keep our mind off the stress of our own, shared apartness as we all physically distance ourselves.

The Celtics Wire has been chronicling this extraordinary moment in Celtics, NBA and world history through the lens of the players’ social media posts, and as we hit the two-week mark of no basketball at any level, we’re starting to settle in to some grooves.

First-year forward Grant Williams is reminiscing about basketball past the same way most of us are — watching online clips of our favorite moments.

Veteran forward Semi Ojeleye is clearly missing basketball, too.

While Brad Wanamaker waxed nostalgic about the season to date over some highlight edits of popular Celtics videographer Tomasz Kordylewski.

And Tatum turned back the clock even further:

Ainge decided it was a good moment to own up to getting owned on the green…

While Jaylen is using his time to stay inspired:

When he’s not sharing couch chic, that is:

Rookie center Vincent Poirier took some time to talk with the media back home in France:

And second-year big man Robert Williams waxed poetic:

While getting into some documentary viewing during the downtime.

Gordon Hayward gave an interview about online gaming:

And Tacko Fall released another episode of his and Grant Williams’ podcast, focusing on the role of more traditional bigs in today’s (tomorrow’s?) NBA.

Center Enes Kanter put out an episode of his pod, too — this one on a topic touching all of our lives.

It’s been rough in quarantine for him too, inspiring a post on caged animals.

But this time won’t last forever.

And while the worst could very well still be ahead of us, we have each other, even if at a distance.

Hold on stay strong, check in with one another, and most important — be well.
