One of the biggest splashes of the offseason came when the Arizona Cardinals acquired DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the Houston Texans. It was a deal no one saw coming, and even weeks removed, it’s hard to believe the Cardinals were able to land Hopkins for such a low price.
Players were stunned by the deal, but Jalen Ramsey seemed more excited than shocked. After battling Hopkins twice a year in the AFC South, Ramsey will once again get the chance to cover arguably the best wideout in the NFL twice per season – this time in the NFC West.
He shared a hype video Wednesday with highlights of himself and Hopkins, getting fans excited for the battles they’re set to have when the Rams and Cardinals square off.
Hopkins is just as happy to be in the same division as Ramsey again, commenting on the video, “Can’t wait my boi!!”
Ramsey said the respect is mutual between the two superstars, but acknowledged that it’s a rivalry, too.
The 2020 season can’t start soon enough, especially with all the attention surrounding the top division in the NFL, the NFC West. It’s bound to be a competitive year out west between the Rams, Seahawks, 49ers and Cardinals.
