Iowa State guard Tyrese Haliburton has reportedly decided to declare for the 2020 NBA Draft, according to ESPN reporters Adrian Wojnarowski and Jonathan Givony.

The 6-foot-5 sophomore is projected to be selected No. 4 in the latest 2020 Rookie Wire Mock Draft after averaging 15.2 points, 6.5 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in 22 games. He left Iowa State as a career 42.6% shooter from 3-point range, including 41.9% this season.

Haliburton saw his season come to an end early after suffering a fractured wrist in February. Prior to the injury, he was regarded as a great distributor and leader on the court. He emerged as a strong 3-and-D threat given his 7-foot wingspan and ability to shoot from deep.

Given his leadership on the court, many believe Haliburton can step into a starting role as soon as next season in the NBA. He finished in the top 10 in assist rate among all underclassmen at a high-major program.
