After trading Stefon Diggs to the Bills, the Vikings are in the market for a wide receiver.
The Rams haven’t made it a secret that they are shopping wide receiver Brandin Cooks. Could he be a fit in Minnesota?
Of course, a lot of that depends on the price Minnesota would have to pay. Cooks is due a whopping $12 million in 2020. The Vikings have $14.29 million in cap space, and could have more if they deal safety Anthony Harris, who was franchise tagged for $11.4 million.
If Minnesota could give up a late-round pick and not get stuck with all of Cooks’ salary, that would certainly be appealing.
After four-straight 1,000-yard seasons, Cooks had a down 2019 season, finishing with a career-low 42 catches for 583 yards and just two touchdowns.
Still, Cooks is only 26 years old and would be a dangerous piece opposite of Adam Thielen.
The question, is how much Cooks will cost salary wise and via trade.
