Many prospective recruits in the top-tier have been putting out their top lists while sports have been on hiatus, and while Michigan has missed the cut for some, it’s been making it for many others.

And a big-time target included the Wolverines in his Top 13 that he released on Monday afternoon.

2021 Hutto (TX) four-star weak-side defensive end Landyn Watson has been a big target, literally, for Michigan defensive line coach Shaun Nua. At 6-foot-3, 235-pounds, Watson is rated a four-star by ESPN at the No. 284 recruit in the class, regardless of position.

And Michigan made the cut of 13 on Monday, along with Mississippi State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Baylor, Penn State, Cal, Penn State, Tennessee, LSU, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech.

Given that there are a lot of top-tier schools on the list, Michigan still has its work cut out for it. But it’s always better to be in consideration than not.
