Where will Everson Griffen end up?

The Pro Bowl defensive end announced he won’t be coming back to the Vikings. So, where will he end up?

Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen announced on Instagram this week that he will not be returning to Minnesota after 10 years with the organization.

That certainly hurts for Vikings fans. But if not Minnesota, where will Griffen play next season?

An obvious pick is in Seattle with the Seahawks. Griffen’s coach at USC was Pete Carroll and the team has more than $18 million in cap space, per Over The Cap.

Griffen proved in 2019 that he can still play, even at 32 years old. He finished with 8.0 sacks and finished with a Pro Football Focus grade of 76, a mark that ranked 26th of 107 ranked edge rushers.

The Vikings will likely fill the void with a low-risk free agent, or one of their many draft picks in the upcoming draft.

For what it’s worth, the Vikings are scheduled to face off against the Seahawks sometime in 2020 in Seattle.
