Updated look at Titans’ 2020 NFL Draft picks after Jurrell Casey trade

The Titans have added one more draft pick after the trade of Jurrell Casey.

When the Tennessee Titans traded away Jurrell Casey to the Denver Broncos they were able to add to their stable of picks.

Of course, it was only a seventh-round selection, which isn’t close to fair value for a player like Casey, unless the ultimate goal was to dump salary for a big move, which is what we all expect the Titans do.

Regardless, Tennessee now has seven draft picks in 2020 thanks to the return from the Broncos. Here’s a look at the full order of them.

  • Round 1, No. 29
  • Round 2, No. 61
  • Round 3, No. 93
  • Round 5, No. 174
  • Round 7, No. 224 (via Cleveland)
  • Round 7, No. 237 (via Denver, from New England)
  • Round 7, No. 243

Tennessee will be missing both their fourth-round and sixth-round picks, thanks to the trades for Ryan Tannehill with the Miami Dolphins and Reggie Gilbert with the Green Bay Packers, respectively.

The good news is that both are under contract for 2020, so those picks weren’t given up for mere rentals; although it must be noted that Gilbert likely isn’t guaranteed a roster spot just yet.

General manager Jon Robinson will have another chance to add to his capital should he choose to wheel and deal during the draft, which for now still begins on April 23.

Trading down from the No. 29 pick shouldn’t be ruled out, or perhaps Robinson becomes aggressive and trades up at some point.
