Lonzo Ball has sought out multiple outlets for entertainment during the NBA’s hiatus with most of those shown on his social media. After immediately turning to spending time in the Pelicans’ practice facility either alone or with teammates, Ball made his way into the recording studio after the NBA closed all team training facilities.
Earlier in the week, Ball teased that new music may be on the way by rapping a new song in an Instagram video. On Friday, Ball provided an update to Pelicans’ fans on the team’s Twitter account and confirmed that he would be releasing new music.

The last time Ball dropped a new song was in August of 2019 as he dropped three songs with Young Lando. This time, it appears he worked with DJ Akademiks to produce his latest content. Ball has released singles intermittently over the last three years since releasing his Born 2 Ball album in February of 2017.
The more notable releases included a song with Lance Stephenson and a (playful) diss track aimed at then teammate Kyle Kuzma.
