The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with former Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon. Check out the video below for highlights from Gordon’s time with the Chargers.
(If the video doesn’t play on this website, you can watch it on YouTube.)
Gordon (6-1, 215 pounds) spent the first five years of his career with the Chargers after being selected by the team in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft. The Wisconsin product has made two Pro Bowls in his career, which means Denver now has a pair of Pro Bowl running backs.
Phillip Lindsay also has a Pro Bowl on his resume and he’s not going anywhere. The Broncos will use Gordon and Lindsay as a one-two punch. Royce Freeman will likely be demoted to RB3 duties.
Gordon, 26, has rushed for 4,240 yards and 36 touchdowns in his career. He has also totaled 1,873 receiving yards and 11 touchdown catches.
