Breaking down the Jacksonville Jaguars’ long list of reported future draft picks

It’s 21 picks in all so far!

The bad news for Jacksonville Jaguars fans is the franchise continue to tear things down with trade after trade.

The good news is the future includes a whole bunch of draft picks, and like we did with fellow Florida residences the Miami Dolphins, we’re breaking down all those selections that could rebuild the franchise.

The latest deal involved quarterback Nick Foles, who the Jags signed to a four-year, $88 million after his Super Bowl heroics with the Philadelphia Eagles. At least they got back a fourth-rounder from the Chicago Bears to add to their pile of picks.

Here’s a look at what they’ve got in the next couple of drafts:

2020 Draft

1st round: Their own pick, and the Rams’ pick

The Jalen Ramsey trade netted another first that we’ll get to later.

2nd round: Their own pick

3rd round: Their own pick

4th round: Their own pick, the Broncos’ pick and the Bears’ pick

The A.J. Bouye deal gave them one. The other is from the Foles trade.

5th round: The Rams’ pick and the Ravens’ pick (via the Vikings)

The Dante Fowler Jr. trade with L.A. got them that selection, and the Ravens gave the Jags a fifth-rounder for Calais Campbell … but it’s the Vikings’ pick that they traded for kicker Kaare Vedvik. The Jaguars are missing their own fifth because they traded it to the Steelers for QB Josh Dobbs.

6th round: Their own pick and the Seahawks’ pick

Seattle traded a 2020 sixth for Jacksonville’s 2019 seventh and selected wideout John Ursua.

7th round: Their own pick
