Michigan State Basketball’s very own Cassius Winston & Xavier Tillman have both been named All-Americans by The Athletic. Winston was named second-team All-American and Xavier Tillman was named third-team All-American. Winston’s offensive abilities pushed MSU through hard times and Tillman was a lockdown defender in critical moments this year. Nice to see them shine during the award season.

Note, Winston was named second-team All-American by the Sporting News and second-team All-American by NBC Sports. Xavier Tillman was named third-team All-American by NBC Sports as well. More importantly, Tillman was named a second-team Academic All-American.

No, the Spartans did not enjoy a Big Ten Tournament Championship run or a deep venture into the NCAA Tournament. At least players are getting the recognition they deserve during the award season.
