The Indianapolis Colts have made some big moves to begin free agency, but they might not be done. It appears they are showing some level of interest in recently released tight end Delanie Walker.
With the Colts seemingly in win-now mode after acquiring defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and bringing in quarterback Philip Rivers on a one-year deal, general manager Chris Ballard might be looking to continue that narrative by adding the veteran Walker to a position of need.
The Colts are one of a few teams showing interest in Walker, per John Keim of ESPN.

Walker has been in the league since 2006 as a sixth-round pick with the 49ers. Walker saw his career take off as a receiving tight end when he joined the Tennessee Titans. Since 2015, he’s been to three Pro Bowls. From 2014–2017, Walker averaged 74 receptions, 896 yards and five touchdowns per season.
Walker has been dealing with injuries over the last two seasons. He suffered a season-ending ankle injury during Week 1 in 2018. He played just seven games in 2019 before ending his season on the injured reserve.
The Colts are looking for more receiving options for their new starting quarterback in Philip Rivers. Frank Reich has made it clear how much they covet the tight end position and seeing as they are trying to win now, Walker presents a solid option as long as he can stay healthy.
It will be interesting to see if something comes of this, but it is certainly something to monitor.
