The Pittsburgh Steelers took a huge financial gamble this week to place the franchise tag on linebacker Bud Dupree. Pittsburgh is banking on a single big season being worth a $15.8 million payday to do it again. But did the Steelers tag the right guy?
Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave signed a huge free-agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles to become the highest-paid nose tackle in the NFL. Should Hargrave have gotten the tag instead?

It’s hard to imagine the Steelers will be able to sign Dupree to a long-term contract if he comes anywhere close to his 2019 campaign. The same could be said for Hargrave but his contract with the Eagles isn’t anything close to what Dupree will command.
Cast your vote and tell us if you think the Steelers tagged the right player or if they should have used the franchise tag at all.
