The Los Angeles Rams announced on Tuesday that they have tendered exclusive rights free agents Johnny Mundt and Coleman Shelton. Both players will be retained for the 2020 season on the one-year tenders.
Mundt came on late in the year, starting two games down the stretch when Gerald Everett was injured. He caught four passes for 26 yards and one touchdown last season, contributing primarily as a blocker on the edge and even as a fullback at times.
Shelton was active for 11 games and played 23 offensive snaps. He can play center and guard for the Rams, giving them added depth on the interior.
This was a no-brainer decision for the Rams, considering how cheap both players will be in 2020. They’ll both make the league minimum next season and likely won’t even count against the cap due to the top-51 rule.
