This morning has been filled with reactions following Tom Brady’s post regarding the next phase of his NFL career. Bill Belichick offered his thoughts on the matter, as did Robert Kraft in statements released through the team’s social media accounts.
Now, Brady’s best friend in New England, Julian Edelman, has put out a picture of the two on his social media platforms. The post, captioned “Family,” depicts the two running side-by-side as they did pre-game before Edelman sped down to the end zone.
Edelman has only played without Brady for four weeks during the quarterback’s suspension. He’s been Brady’s favorite target since the former Kent State quarterback took over as the top wide receiver in 2013.
With Brady under center, Edelman has made his way through the Patriots’ record books. He currently sits second in receptions (599), fourth in receiving yards (6,507), and ninth in receiving touchdowns (36) in franchise history.

It wouldn’t be all too surprising to see Brady request that Edelman is acquired by whatever team he signs with to keep them together.
