On day two of the NFL free agent negotiating period, the Raiders have their first bombshell. After reports of initial interest in former Rams linebacker Cory Littleton, the Raiders have closed the deal and agreed to terms with Littleton to the tune of 3 years, $36 million according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Littleton had 134 combined tackles with 2 interceptions and 9 pass breakups last season and is considered one of the best coverage linebackers in the league.
On day one the Raiders agreed to terms with former Bears linebacker Nick Kwiatkowski. But even then there was little doubt the Raiders were far from done at the position.
Last week they released Tahir Whitehead, which put the team in need for three new starting linebackers. Now they have two on the first two days of free agency. Both key additions to a defense in desperate need of help, especially at linebacker.
The Raiders also agreed to terms with quarterback Marcus Mariota. Coming into free agency the Raiders had over $55 million in cap money to spend, so they are far from done.
