The Chicago Aquarium closed this week due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, a strain of the coronavirus. That is sad.
What is happy is what the Aquarium staff members did the only sensible thing you can do in that situation — they let the penguins out and (while supervised) let them roam around the aquarium and check things out.
It was everything I wanted it to be and more. This video has steadied me during uncertain times. It has provided me a sense of calm at a time when anxiety is running high. It is penguins roaming around a zoo, and let it wash over you:
The Chicago aquarium closed due to coronavirus, so they allowed the penguins to run around and check out the other exhibits. (staff was present.) 😍pic.twitter.com/aDLwiV4RyP
