BR picks Vikings’ Anthony Harris as free agent the team can’t afford to lose

Minnesota has some choices to make when it comes to the team’s defensive backs this offseason.

Anthony Harris is going to command a large salary in free agency, but Bleacher Report still thinks the Vikings shouldn’t let him walk.

Harris was listed by the outlet as a free agent the team can’t afford to lose. Here’s what it said:

“[Trae] Waynes and [Mackensie] Alexander played important roles, but their production is replaceable. Harris was stellar, recording a league-leading six interceptions along with 11 pass breakups and 60 combined tackles. Finding someone to take his spot would be difficult, and losing him would leave a massive gap in the defense.”

It’s a tall task, but obviously bringing Harris back would be huge for the outlook of next season’s defense. However, safety is a position Mike Zimmer doesn’t rate particularly high on his list of importance, so maybe the team won’t want to break the bank on a safety, especially when the team is as strapped for cash as it is.
