As the concerns of the coronavirus grow globally, the CDC announced on Sunday that they recommend no gatherings of 50-plus people for the next two months.
The announcement by the CDC comes as NBA owners and executives increasingly believe that the league will resume play at the earliest in mid-to-late June, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The league would resume playing with no fans in that scenario.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced the hiatus will last at least 30 days as players are required to stay in their respective markets during the time off. They are also not permitted to participate in group workouts or practices and can only workout individually.

On Saturday, Detroit Pistons center Christian Wood became the third player to test positive for the coronavirus. Wood recently played against the Utah Jazz and Rudy Gobert but is said to be doing well, according to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.
Since the NBA suspended the regular season, several other sporting entities across the U.S. have followed suit to either suspend or cancel upcoming games and events.
