The Philadelphia 76ers return home from a four-game California road trip on Wednesday and they will welcome back two starters who have missed time with injury.
While Josh Richardson was already scheduled to return on Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons, Joel Embiid was listed as questionable and it was up in the air whether he would return or not. After some deliberation, Embiid will return to the lineup.
The Sixers big man has missed five consecutive games with a left shoulder sprain and he is now ready to return to the lineup. He will be able to ease back into things against a bad Pistons team that traded away Andre Drummond and is relying on Christian Wood and Thon Maker at the big man spot.

The Sixers will need a win in this one as they look to try and move forward up in the standings. They are running out of time in the race for home-court advantage in the playoffs.
Tipoff with the Pistons is set for 7:00 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=27519,27511,27503]
