Former Philadelphia 76ers forward Jimmy Butler opened up a bit more recently when he was a guest on JJ Redick’s podcast and he opened up on what happened during his time in Philadelphia and what his relationship was like with coach Brett Brown.
Butler did not have many kind words to say about Brown and he basically blamed him as the main reason why he left to join the Miami Heat. It did kind of shed some light on why he did leave and Brown was asked about as the Sixers prepared for the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
“I have heard about it, I have not listened to it, and I doubt I will,” Brown said. “It’s the same conversation I had when we played Miami, my comments remain. He’s having a hell of a year in Miami, he’s in a good place, and we wish him well.”

This is very clearly beginning to look like there was a disconnect between Brown and Butler and that is the reason why Butler is no longer in Philadelphia. The Sixers are going to have an interesting time trying to figure out what their next step is in this case.[lawrence-related id=27511,27503,27482]
