Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain played the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie in an empty Parc des Princes Stadium due to the coronavirus outbreak, but that didn’t stop thousands of fans from gathering just outside the stadium to cheer on their team from afar.
According to Euro News, approximately 3,000 PSG fans gathered in close proximity across from the stadium to chant and sing and light flares – defeating the purpose of the stadium closure in the process. Some fans wore face masks – though many did not – or came dressed in entire protective suits. The scenes from the fan rally were incredible.
