The WWE is on the verge of gaining a star.
According to Ryan Satin of FOX’s “WWE Backstage”, Rob Gronkowski is close to signing a deal. The former New England Patriots star tight end is currently a sports anchor for FOX Sports, making a seamless connection with SmackDown on FOX.
Satin reported that Gronkowski’s in ‘deep talks’ with the WWE, but the capacity at which he’d be used is unknown. He could make an appearance as soon as March 20, on “Friday Night SmackDown” from New Orleans.

Gronkowski’s roots to the WWE go back to 2017, where he joined his friend Mojo Rawley in WrestleMania.
Patriots fans unfortunately won’t see Gronkowski on the field anymore, but his role as an entertainer is far from over.
