Kyle Shanahan was offensive coordinator for the Redskins at a time when Kirk Cousins was still playing in Washington.
There has been constant speculation about the long-term future of Cousins in a Vikings uniform, and ESPN’s Dianna Russini recently joined in on the topic.
“I think there’s another quarterback that’s going to be on the market soon that the 49ers are going to want to take a look at and he’s in Minnesota right now,” Russini said on ESPN’s Get Up. “We all know the history between Kyle Shanahan and Kirk Cousins, this is something that’s been going on for years.”
It probably goes without saying that a lot would have to happen for Cousins to head to San Francisco. But some people seem to think the best fit for him would be the 49ers. It’ll be interesting to see whether Cousins stays with the Vikings or heads to another team.
.@diannaESPN doesn't think the 49ers are interested in Tom Brady. There's another soon-to-be free agent QB she thinks they want to look at.
And he currently plays in Minnesota đź‘€ pic.twitter.com/iuRA8wizDu
