Sunday a peculiar hat popped up on Reddit. It was a blue hat with yellow that said LA with some weird semicircle thing around the A. It was truly hideous and as it turns out, it’s the Rams new logo.
The new #Rams logo leaked over the weekend and @CharlesRobinson is confirming that this is the real thing. pic.twitter.com/qjkmnTA7hn

As soon as it was confirmed this indeed is what the Rams new logo looks like, the internet reacted appropriately. Many had thoughts similar to my own. That the logo looked like it merged with the Chargers with whom the Rams will be sharing a stadium.
Is this the LA Rams new logo? Looks like it should be the Chargers logo. #Rams #LARams pic.twitter.com/inTIAA9mf2

Hey #Rams congrats on immediately becoming the worst logo in the #NFL

Rams: “Yo Chargers can I get the homework?”
Chargers: “Yeah just change it up a little bit so no one notices.” pic.twitter.com/lLTraTiq54

This looks like the Rams logo and the Chargers logo had a baby that neither of them wanted so they left it on the side of the road in a box #Rams #Chargers #Baby #Box https://t.co/DQuHdt9PoB

Even for those who didn’t see the similarities with Chargers’ lightning bolt, the reaction was not pleasant. Damien Woody’s reaction was a pretty common one.
Oh no Rams….what are u doing?! https://t.co/GC6hSCjLVJ pic.twitter.com/mIXum4KBh6

It was former NFL running back Thomas Jones who added: “Just throw the whole logo and team away.”

Sorry, Rams. Or Chargers. Or whatever team that logo is supposed to be for. Maybe just stick with the classics? Just look at the Raiders, Steelers, Packers, Bears, etc. Every year they are commended for not trying to fix what ain’t broke.
