NFLPA extends deadline to vote on new collective bargaining agreement

The NFLPA has extended the voting period to vote on the proposed new collective bargaining agreement.

The NFLPA has decided to extend the voting deadline for the proposed collective bargaining agreement.

“By a vote of our Board of Player Representatives, we have extended the voting deadline on the proposed new collective bargaining agreement to Saturday, March 14 at 11:59pm EDT,” the NFLPA said in a statement on Monday. “Every vote matters, and we encourage all players to review the materials sent via email in order to make an informed decision.”

The move comes after players have expressed their displeasure at the proposed terms. One of those players who made his sentiments known to the public was Houston Texans receiver Kenny Stills.

“Players, we got to vote no on this deal. I know that younger players and guys that haven’t signed big deals are a little nervous about a work stoppage, but we’ve got a fund put together just in case we were to have a work stoppage,” Stills said in a video on March 5. “We can work on other ways of getting loans or getting money set aside so that we can negotiate a deal that is player friendly.”
