Bleacher Report says Vikings safety Anthony Harris has a weakness: a lack of starting experience

Bleacher Report listed each team’s top free agent and gave their biggest red flag. Here’s what they found for Minnesota.

Bleacher Report named its top free agent on every team, and it came as no shock that the Vikings’ best player no longer under contract is safety Anthony Harris.

The outlet also named each of those free agents weaknesses. For Harris, his weakness had to do with the fact that he hasn’t exactly been a mainstay on Minnesota’s starting defense for years.

Here’s what they said:

“After 31 starts in 65 outings in a familiar scheme, Harris may not produce similar numbers outside of his comfort zone as a full-time starter elsewhere. Teams will bank on his projection as an ascending talent.”

The outlet went on to mention that Harris’ big interception numbers may come and go, so he will have to develop his game in other ways if he wants to find success. Harris tied for a league-high six interceptions. He also had 11 pass breakups on the year. It’ll be hard for the Vikings to re-sign Harris, given the current salary cap situation.
